I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The Lord Jesus has been building His Church through the joint efforts of Bibles For the World and the national missionaries in India. Over 300 churches (local congregations) Have been established, mostly in northeast India and some in Delhi and Punjab areas. Local congregations put up their first church buildings with thatched roofs, bamboo walls and mud floors. These temporary buildings would last for only two to three years. As their number g rows they try to build a more permanent building, with brick walls and corrugated iron roofs materials. Labors are all on volunteer services. They take offerings every Sunday evening for their church building projects. It takes them 15 – 20 years to complete the permanent structure. If help could be given by providing funds to purchase the materials, they can finish the building in one year. And their Sunday evening offerings could go towards their missionary support. A few years ago, help was given to a church in Muolhoi, today that Church is supporting six missionaries in the unreached areas.
